Your safari begins with pick-up in Arusha, followed by a drive to Tarangire National Park, a beautiful park known for its giant baobab trees, wide-open savannah, and impressive elephant population. Tarangire offers a calm and scenic introduction to the Northern Circuit and is often loved for its natural beauty and quieter atmosphere.
After entering the park, you will begin your game drive and explore an area rich in wildlife. Tarangire is especially famous for large elephant herds, but it is also home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and a variety of bird species. If luck is on your side, you may also spot predators such as lions or leopards during the drive.
As you move through the park, you will enjoy the contrast of open landscapes, seasonal river areas, and ancient baobabs that make Tarangire unique. Later in the afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. The journey itself is part of the adventure, taking you through beautiful highland scenery and vast open landscapes as you make your way toward the Serengeti.
As you enter the park, the scenery begins to open into the endless plains that make Serengeti so legendary. You will begin your game drive while heading toward your lodge or camp, which gives you the chance to start experiencing the park immediately. Serengeti is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and countless antelope species.
The park is also famous for the Great Migration, though wildlife viewing remains exceptional throughout the year even when the migration is in a different area. By the end of the day, you will have already started to feel the scale and beauty of this remarkable park before arriving at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti in more depth. After breakfast, you will head out for a full day game drive across the plains, giving you more time to search for wildlife and enjoy the dramatic beauty of one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.
A full day in the Serengeti offers a better opportunity to witness different animal movements and behaviors throughout the day. You may come across lion prides resting in the shade, cheetahs scanning the plains, herds of zebras and wildebeests moving together, elephants walking across the open grasslands, and hyenas or jackals roaming through the area. Birdlife is also abundant, making the experience rewarding even beyond the larger mammals.
One of the special things about the Serengeti is the feeling of space and freedom. The endless horizon, golden grasslands, and wildlife encounters create the kind of safari scene many travelers dream about before coming to Tanzania. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day and continue your game drive into the afternoon before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti as you continue your safari toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This allows you one more chance to experience the wildlife and scenery of Serengeti before leaving the park.
The drive out of Serengeti is far from just a transfer. It is still an active safari day, and many guests often have some of their memorable sightings during this stretch. You may see more predators, grazing herds, or even animals you may have missed earlier in the journey. As you leave the plains behind, the landscape gradually changes as you approach the highlands of Ngorongoro.
By late afternoon, you will arrive at the crater rim or nearby area, where cooler air and beautiful views create a different atmosphere from the plains below. You will check in at your lodge or camp, enjoy dinner, and rest ahead of the next day’s crater safari.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in the country for rewarding game viewing in a short time.
Inside the crater, you will explore a mix of grasslands, wetlands, acacia woodland, and the lake area, all of which support a wide range of animals. You may see lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and if luck allows, even the rare black rhino. The crater is also one of the few places where travelers have a strong chance of spotting many major species within a single game drive.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before continuing your safari for a final round of wildlife viewing. Later, you will ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your safari.
